Hi, with the launch of call of duty modern warfare 2 and death of one of the greatest esports of all time, there are great opportunities. I have decided that I want to launch a website that features a league, but more specifically Team Deathmatch, which is currently rare for Modern Warfare 2.
Since I have experience with Joomla (http://thenhspawprint.org), this seemed to be a component that is too good to be true. However it lacks a couple features that are vital in an esports website. As posted in another topic, it needs teams to be able to register for a league and manage their own team. It also needs teams to be able to report their scores. I know you guys produce the component for free,I have some investors willing to drop cash to accelerate the progress of these much needed modules. This component could seriously get my ideas off the ground and in motion.
PLEASE look into creating modules that support these features, they will greatly be appreciated. I will also be seeking out beardev admins in the time being and talking about possibilities. Thanks for taking time to read this! Please respond with any comments or suggestions!
Unless your talking about mw2 for the console i wouldn't bother with a PC league of the game.. there is no competitive following for the failure that it is. I would look at Bad Company 2 for your league as it holds more promise, having 2 comp modes out of box from what i understand.
If the component could be made to work like http://gamebattles.com/ I probably would be able to raise some money for the development of it. I'm making a Halo community that I really would like to have that kind of feature. And the addition of e-sport support enabling creation of sites like GameBattles would make this component extremely popular.
