The new bearleague component and modules appears to generate duplicate content with the joomla Itemid

The link off the component league table gives the team a url of
index.php?option=com_bearleague&task=team&tid=1&sid=5&Itemid=396

396 being the item id of the joomla menu id for the appropriate league table

The Next Game Module and the mini league table give a url of
index.php?option=com_bearleague&task=team&tid=1&sid=5&Itemid=1

this results in the search engines seeing multiple content so bad for seo, its also gives us a problem with formatting as an itemidof 1 will display the modules in view on the home page.

any ideas on how we can link off the modules with the selected itemid,

maybe selecting the itemid in the module parameters xml file?
