Post suggestions here that you think is needed to make BearLeague work for E-sport too.
Please link to sources if you post League, Ladder or Cup rules and try to stick to the bigger ones like ClanBase etc.

I was hopping to see something like this :)

First off great componet guys.. very clean.

As for ESports that would be awesome, so here are few key features that would seriously make/break any league script. (Remeber I said league not ladder)

1. Site users can create/join team (1 only, but could be configurable in the B.E)

2. Ability for multi League support so teams would have to be sepereated by league.

3. Match Reporting - Team Capatans (Creators) Should have the ability to enter the final result of the match and only once for each match.

I could probably go on and on about must haves and don't do's, but this is enough to puzzle the mind for a few hours.

Hi Guys,

First of all - impressive project you all are working on here. Thank you for investing your time in helping others.

Actually my suggestion is more like a question - and that is if you hace any thoughts of making it possible to assign national flags to teams.

Especially in E-sport it is very common that "club teams" are presented with national flags to show where they are from.

It would also look very nice when tables and results are presented, the way it is now no graphics what so ever are shown in for example "matches".

Anyway, thank you very much for developing this extension.

Regards

Fiskoo

My suggestions are exactly the same as these.
Thank you very much and congratulations on this great addon to joomla.

So I thought I list all the stuff I think would be needed for a e-sport component.

-Users can create/delete a team
--The user that created the team will become team moderator
--The team moderator can edit team info
--Moderator should be able to invite players that are not in a team
--Moderator should be able to remove a player from the team

-All users/players that are not member of a team should be seen in a free agents list
--It would be from this list Team moderators should be able to invite players to their team
--Players that are free agents should be able to apply for membership in a team via the teams page
--Team moderators can then accept or deny applications for membership in their team

-When a tournament is set up teams should be able to join the tournament during a set time period
--When set time period has expired site admin can set up the matches and start the tournament

Well thats some of what I want in a esport component.

I also would like to see a feature that made it possible for teams so challange other teams for friendly games. Friendly games would also be stored and listed in a table.

Its also important to be able to choose different types of gametypes. In games like halo a match is often played in three games(rounds) where each round are diffrent gametypes like deathmatch and capture the flag. so for a tournament one should be able to set how a match is played. ex. deathmatch, ctf and a deathmatch for the last round. and after a game is played each players score should be able to be put in but different for different gametypes.

this could be donen by making it possible to make on gametypes by being able to create different scoring fields that then can be assigned to a gametype. the total score of all scoring fields are then show on the players page.

hello
I am impressed with this
at the moment I am using some other stuff for tournament which is similar but it is not integrated in joomla which is not good because multiple registration etc.
but, as for making teams I ould sugest that 1 can be team leader of multiple teams but only can make 1 team of 1 people, 1 team of 2 people, 1 team of 3 players etc. bt can make a team if he / she is a team of another team, what I mean is if he /she is One of a team member of 3 he / she can not make team of 3 if he she want to make a team they must leave present one, and in team you can enter only by invite

League / Torunament admin should make rules (ponts for win, loose, penalties...how many teams in that league ...), laders and point system,

but some presets must be there, like playoff tree standard and full, and table Robin Rounds

automation should be there and of course some manual override if necessary for making pairs for dueling

A few more things to Suggest if the Dev's are still reading this.

1. Disputes - Create a dispute system between the two teams and the current match. Be able to make multiple disputes per team. This would be included where you View Matchcoms, Report the Loss. These disputes should have to be reviewed by the admin, and viewed only by the admin. Within the disputes, create a section for the admins only to send an email (template editable) when the status is updated or changed.

2. Matchcoms - Match Communication for both teams/clans to discuss Time and Server Information between the two leaders.

3. Access Levels - Be able Create 2-3 Access levels. (ideas below)
I. Team/Clan Leaders (The highest acess level can choose who becomes the lower access levels)
II. Scheduler (can also post in matchoms)
III. Starter (general user creation, no matchcom posting, only viewing, DEFAULT with a checkbox option next to a dropdown menu for Player Status - Player Status would be Leaders/Player/Backup - and obviously Backup wouldn't have the checkbox option to be a Starter)
a. Only 4 Starters available (next to team leader - leader would be viewed as Team leader/Starter if necessary by the checkbox option of "Starter" - same thing goes for the Scheduler)
IV. Backup - Same access levels as Starter, just a different label.

4. Gametimes/Matchtimes - Make a default match time for the teams. Also create a deadline for the match, and if one of the teams does not respoond in matchcoms by this date, the team not responding forfeits.

5. Team Limits - Create a general Team Limit amount (only 50 teams available to sign up per season or league.)

6. Player Limits - Create a general player limit for the amount of people that can join a team. (Only 7 people able to join a team - 1 Team Leader, 1 Scheduler

7. Unique Game ID's - Make each player enter a Unique Player ID. Able to make it a certain format (using ? as a wildcard for numbers - "?:?:??????????") Like a STEAM ID or Punkbuster ID. (Can't Sign up for a team without this)

8. Team Sign-ups require a password! When signing up, view the list of all teams.

9. Roster Locks/Team Locks - Be able to Create dates to lock Rosters(people can't join a team) and Team Creation(even if the team limit is not reached). This should also be a manual feature.

----

I will keep adding to this list when I think of more things. If you need anything explained. Let me know.
