Can any help with the proper way to use groups?

I have set up a tournament and a season. created teams which not only have their own leagues but play additionally in a separate tournament.

I have added the teams to a group which play this separate tournament ...
I made 4 groups... Stage 1, Quarter finals, semi's and final. They appear in Stage 1 but not in any of the others???

As there are no instructions in using groups, I am hoping a forum member would be able to help

I'm not using groups but I think I have see the same problem duriing test.
If my memory is good I think I can give you a direction to search solution : Do you active the groups in the tournament and season where they refer?

whitey please ensure if you allowed seson to use the groups(BE -> Components -> BearLeague -> Season -> edit the season )?

I did activate groups in the season, which now does not show the teams in the groups unless I have set it up incorrect if I turn off activate groups I get the season teams showing up in all groups...

I would like further assistance when John isn't busy????

Im having trouble too. I have my league set up fine, but we also play friendlies. i want to be able to display these friendlies, without them having any influence on the league via points etc

Hi taflad,
I think you have 2 solutions to do this :
1) Mark your friendlies as Play off > like this your match are displaying under the table but have any influence on the league,
2) Create a new tournament for yous frienlies and don't display table for this tounament

thanks for the fast reply. ive sort of found a solution. i have created 2 groups. the only problem i have now is i cannot get my team to appear in both groups. is this possible?

Sorry but I don't use group's so I don't know if it's possible

no at the moment if team takes part in one group it cannot takes part in another group of the tournament

but if you want this works please request customization of BearLeague on email
