Is it possible to set the match details in a section/category and that this category is automaticly shown on the frontpage?

The next match or match results module can be edited in joomlas extensions under module manager. Here you can select tournaments etc but also where it appears in the site.

Ie: next match module to appear in the right column using menu assignment all.
this then will display the next match module on all pages of the site in the right hand column, providing your template as a right column.

I think joomla only displays articles and menus on the front page, I think it would be very difficult to display only the match details as an article.

How I would display the match details, would be to create a detailed match account in an article with a link to the match details, with only a brief description. This way you would have more control over meta tags and articles.

Yes thank you. The question is clear..
We never didn't plan the functionality in the future versions..

If you want you can wait for the features maybe through 4-5 version we think about this implemenations.. but now we have no development recourses for this.
But if you want this feature right now - We'll be glad to customize the feature for you for a fee.
