Post Match Tab
on 05/06/2010 04:23

Much like the Player Tab having too much inputting of each Player, their details and etc, I've gotten feedback that the same is for the Match Tab too.

Clubs would like to have their teams file Match Reports but it's not important to the club to have the standing as they are posted by the league on another web site which can be linked too or put into a Joomla! Wrapper.

Basically, they want to be able to have teams file a standard game report with so the families and supporters can see in writing a game report. Presently you click on Match see the game scores then go to the Match Report. Too much clicking and the game scores table is a repeat of the league standings.

Overall it's a super product but being able to choose to do a club level versus a league level makes the product more flexible to end users. As a decades old soccer administrator, clubs need online systems but at the sametime they want to avoid too much work and duplicating league work which is being paid by clubs anyway.

Presently most amatuer youth clubs, their leagues and Regional Soccer Orgainizations are just moving into Province or State wide systems. They are very expensive systems to rollout and usually on a very slow timeline as youth organizations mandate is to spend money on player development versus admin IT.

On the Team tab if you go deeper than 22 lines of text the players tab stops working. Less than 22 lines no problem. Creates an error msg -

Post Simplified Player Roster
on 04/13/2010 23:04

Is it possible to create a Simplified Player Roster page where on 1 page all the players are listed with their pic? Most Youth Clubs want to list team player rosters on 1 page versus 1 page per player.

BL is a awesome product but not all it's users are going to be from Geekdom. Because of this club admins avoid having to do a lot of inputting. Can the BL Players Tab/Link be replaced with a Tab/Link to a 1 page Team Player Roster?

Failing to add a different page to the Team Player Roster Tab/Link is it possible to not have that Tab so the Roster can be HTML'ed into the Team Tab?

Post Re: Horizontal Tab Layout

Everything is working fine and the probelm is when using IE 8 to look at a Joomla! site that is running jquery scripts. I was running a nav bar that used jquery so I got rid of that and all is fine. Looking foward to getting deeper into BL.

Cheers

I using a Rocket Theme and none of the other 3rd party components or modules being used have this problem. Thanks

Ok, I had some more time to play so I did some testing with FF, GC, Safari & Opera. They all show the tabs in the right place and the whole layout looks as the one I reference on your site here. The one on your site must have a tweak for IE 8. Is that correct? If so I'd love to get my hands on it.

Great package for soccer clubs, for sure.
